Ingredients

To make this unique but delicious tart and sweet smoothie recipe, you need only 3 main ingredients and an optional one.

  • Mango – 4 cups of cubed mango (2 cups frozen and 2 cups fresh)
  • Lime – 1 lime (freshly squeezed juice)
  • Almond Milk – 1 cup of almond milk
  • Sweetener – honey or agave, to taste, optional

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1 – Add the mango, lime juice, and almond milk to the blender or food processor.

Step 2 – Use the blender’s preset smoothie function or blend on high for 1 minute.

You’ll need a powerful blender or food processor as half the mango is frozen. Use a tamper (if your blender comes with one) to help it along.

If your blender doesn’t handle frozen fruit easily, you can add a bit more liquid (like almond milk). Be aware it will change the flavor profile but it will still be delicious!

Step 3 – Give it a taste, and add any sweetener like honey or agave nectar if you find it a bit too tart. This will depend on how sweet the mango you’re using is.

Step 4 – Enjoy it while cold!
